Hello!
My name is Vivian, I am a bilingual Spanish speaking Associate Clinical Social Worker.
I am Guatemalan-American and first generation. I acknowledge that being bicultural plays an important part in how I view the world and how it influences who I am. I also recognize that as a first gen, we are constantly learning to communicate our feelings, learning to set boundaries, and also learn how to break unhealthy patterns that may be experiences and conversations that were never taught or practiced. My hope is that by creating a safe therapeutic environment, therapy can serve as a path towards self-love, growth, and healing so you can live emotionally healthy, authentically you and achieve your goals.
I am passionate about working with children, teens, young adults and families of the Latinx community. I acknowledge there are systems and historical oppression that have impacted our community throughout generations and as a therapist my focus is to help individuals identify their strengths, resources and supports.
Throughout my clinical experience, I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, family dynamics, behavioral struggles, interpersonal relationship conflicts and life transitions. My treatment approaches are CBT, DBT, SFBT, and art/play therapy.
In my free time I enjoy going on walks, exploring new coffee shops, going to the beach, taking Pilates and traveling.
