About Estela Bobadilla

1443950414You look in the mirror and no longer recognize the one who is looking back.

Once, your life unfolded with clarity.
There was a rhythm, a direction—milestones met, dreams realized, a future you could almost hold in your hands. You built a life of substance: work, love, family, meaning.

And yet, something has gone quiet.

What once felt full now feels distant.
What once guided you no longer speaks with the same certainty.

A subtle emptiness appears—difficult to name, impossible to ignore.

You have not lost your way.
You have arrived at a threshold.

The first half of life asks us to turn outward—to shape an identity, to belong, to achieve, to become someone in the world.
But there comes a moment when the soul asks for something different.

It asks you to turn inward.

Here, the old maps no longer work.
The skills that carried you this far cannot take you further.

This is where many feel lost.

But the image in the mirror is not unfamiliar—it is undiscovered.

It is the one who will guide you.

I will help you learn how to see.

Together, we will enter the language of the psyche—the quiet, symbolic world that speaks through dreams, images, and feeling. Through dreamwork, active imagination, sandplay, and deep reflection, you will begin to encounter the living presence within you.

You will discover your myth—the story beneath the story of your life.

There is a shedding that happens in this work.
What no longer belongs begins to fall away.

You will come to know the mask you have worn—and gently bring it into alignment with who you are.
You will meet your shadow, not as something to fear, but as a source of vitality and truth.
You will encounter the inner other—the partner within—so that your outer relationships may become more whole.
You will begin to understand the language of symbols, and how they illuminate the path when the rational mind cannot.

This is the path of individuation.
The path toward wholeness.

Hi, I am Estela.

Estela C BobadillaI was born in Mexico City and came of age in San Diego. I belong to both—and to the space in between. This experience has shaped my sensitivity to those who feel they are searching for where they belong, or who sense that they live between worlds.

I became a therapist in search of an answer to a single question: what is love?

My studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute opened the door to the work of Carl Jung, and over the past 20 years, I have walked a path of deep engagement with the unconscious through my own dreams and analysis. It was there that I encountered what Jung described as the feminine principle.

The feminine principle lives in all of us.
It is the capacity to receive, to relate, to be present—to meet ourselves and others with openness and depth. It is through this principle that we come into genuine relationship. It is, in many ways, the ground of love itself.

I have spent over a decade in advanced study at the C.G. Jung Study Center of Southern California, completing my analytical training and deepening my commitment to this work.

I am also a founding member of the C. G. Jung Institute of San Diego—a living place of study, formation, and transformation, where individuals are trained in the depth and rigor of Jungian analysis. It is a space dedicated not only to learning, but to the unfolding of the psyche itself, and to the continuation of a tradition that honors the wisdom of the unconscious.

As a Jungian Analyst, I have had the privilege of working closely with dreams—my own and those of others—and have witnessed, again and again, the quiet intelligence that lives within the soul.

Something in you already knows.

When you begin to listen, the inner world responds.

The path of individuation is not a straight line—it is a descent, a return, and a becoming. It asks for courage, patience, and curiosity. But it offers something rare: a life that feels deeply, authentically your own.

If you feel called, I invite you to begin.

And tonight—listen to your dreams.
